// More core partners to be announced — enquire about a seat

// In partnership with
CTFs develop tools.
JengaSec develops judgment.

Most talent pipelines produce professionals assessed individually, within their discipline, under controlled conditions. JengaSec produces something different: technologists who have built an enterprise, defended it under fire, and explained their decisions to a room of executives.

// How It Works

Four phases.
One complete lifecycle.

01
// Phase_01 — Pre-Event Build
Build
// Construction

Blue teams architect and construct their assigned enterprise before the event: full-stack systems with login screens, APIs, databases and core business logic. Organic vulnerabilities emerge from genuine architectural decisions, not planted traps.

02
// Phase_02 — During Event Maarifa
Maarifa
// Knowledge

Each day opens with two keynotes: one hard cybersecurity talk, one from the wider industry. Tech does not exist in isolation, and what you hear in the morning directly shapes what gets attacked and defended in the afternoon.

03
// Phase_03 — During Event Morani Hunting Grounds
Morani Hunting Grounds
// Mastery_Under_Pressure

Red teams execute APT-style attacks on systems they did not build: social engineering, cloud exploitation, SQL injection, privilege escalation, lateral movement. Blue teams defend in real time. AI assists both sides, but human judgment is what gets scored.

04
// Phase_04 — During Event Kikao
Kikao
// Dialogue_&_Reflection

CFOs, CTOs and CISOs forensically review what actually happened. They interrogate blue team architecture and red team attack chains in front of the room. Winners are announced here, followed by open Q&A on entering the industry.

// Pre-Event
Build phase

// FAQ

Questions,
answered.

University students and young tech professionals across Kenya. If you build, break or defend systems, this is your arena. Entry is free.
Yes. Teams of up to four members, and at least one member must be a security specialist. Mixed skill sets win: builders, breakers, and someone who can write it all up.
Medium to advanced. You should be comfortable working on real systems, whether building them or attacking them. Maarifa sessions sharpen you further during the event itself.
Nothing. JengaSec is free for all participants, students and tech community members alike.
